- Trials tranquiliser rounds on Black Guard during a training session;
- One of the 'kids' brought in as a reserve by Cal Blackthorn;
- Encoded books turns out to relate to creation of the Storm Riders;
- Discovered to be a latent Storm Rider and broken.

36 - Raven King's Codex
- Investigates history of Datari family and their connection to the Storm Riders;
- Meets Naethyn Inarban, as well as Siv and Taav at Aesthelm;
- Discovers laboratory beneath Aesthelm including a body in a tank, 'Osiirus';
- Travels to Stormhelm with Lukas and Will Stormhelm, Bryhon, Drysi and Phaedra Kanone, meets the Surgeon in another secret laboratory;
- Returns to Aesthelm to collect 'Osiirus' and take him back to the Keep.

- Caolan, Cal and Elythar conspire to trigger Brandyn n'Aelin in the Pit to test whether he can see through a Storm Ride if Seren is not there.
- Cal Blackthorn's Black Guard runs into difficulties with renegades led by Hayte Isa'ad and Kor'inth Dhaunae.
- Shortly after Prima Materia, meets Naethyn Inarban at the Wandering Dove. They become lovers.
