A blood-red triquetra marks Scathach's right shoulderblade. This is a
symbol of her position as one of the Chosen of the Goddess Nuuruhuine.
The symbol represents the three-fold nature of the deity and her forms:
the maiden, the mother and the crone. It is with this final aspect, the
harbinger of death and the chill of winter and the grave, with which
Scathach is most closely associated. The circle that surrounds the
triquetra is a symbol of eternity.
