*Personality: As a child, Rilar was a sunny, happy-go-lucky individual, quick to smile and to laugh, even if it did seem like she was unable to sit still for more than five minutes at a time. She grew into an equally sunny, lively young female. However, her experience as a slave has left her with mental as well as physical scars. She is warier and less trusting, and her temper can be explosive.

Draconic Abilities: As a Silver, she is able to use lightning or ice as a breath weapons. She can also cast both from the hand. Like all Kin she possesses the skill of transmutation, or molecular alteration. This magic can be used for healing, however to use it in such a manner causes the dragon to tire quickly and, if used too much, can completely exhaust it.

*Weapons Used: When exiled from the Silmetaurea, Rilar had little or nothing in the way of fighting skills, which was one reason why she was so easily captured by slavers. Since her escape from slavery, she has worked hard - some might say obsessively so - to make sure she is never that vulnerable again. She is trained in a martial art form known only to the Eheiling Nahrn. She is also capable with dagger, sword and crossbow.

*History: The only child of the second clutch, Rilar is the daughter of Jerid Emberlight and Seress Athdan. She is presumed dead, but was in fact exiled by her father, who then led everyone else (including the rest of her family) to believe that she was dead. After her exile from the Silmetaurea, she was captured and sold into slavery with a Renegade Black House. Her life there was harsh and she was badly treated. After one particularly brutal attack, which should by all rights have killed her, she managed to break free, kill her attacker and escape. She had just enough strength to escape out into the heart of the Mother Sands before collapsing. By chance, she passed out alongside a minor trade route used by the Eheiling Narhn. One of the sandships came across her and took her on board. After her recovery, she remained with the Eheiling Narhn.
Misc Information:
- Her heart and organs are in a reverse position from Humans and other humanoids, all Aerdon Dragons have a heart located on the RIGHT side of their body, and all single organs are also located on the reverse side.
- Rilar is an active Or'Ill Esiir (Storm Rider); she was broken during the last brutal attack during her slavery.
- As a Broken Storm Rider, Rilar's soul appears as an endless pillar of light and fire. It is silver and storm grey in colour.
- As a Broken StormRider, it is impossible to drain her life force with a D'Riel conduit. All attempts made on any Storm Rider have ended in the conduit being nearly overloaded, as An'Thaya Blackthorn discovered in Crucible of the Storm. Even a dying D'Riel, whose conduit would normally function like a black hole and pull in a Storm Rider's life force completely, cannot drain one, as discovered when Casiir and Tay'La Blackthorn re-bonded. This makes a Storm Rider a powerful ally when using a conduit as there is very little danger in pulling too much from them.
- When 'triggered' into a 'Storm Ride' her eyes will fully haze/frost over, but still retain the phosphorescent glow in the irises. They appear an icy shade of very pale silver.
- When 'triggered' she can meld lightning and ice together into a much stronger force than using them independently.
- Because of her experiences as a slave, Rilar can be uncomfortable amongst large groups of people and about having people behind her. This is because it makes it hard, if not impossible, to keep an eye on everybody so that she can react if someone becomes a threat. For related reasons, she also can react badly to being touched, even in a relatively casual and friendly fashion. Being physically restrained can trigger flashbacks and her response is typically to try to escape by whatever means necessary. It can be quite an extreme fight-or-flight response and, whilst she does not want to harm anyone, she will use physical violence if she has to. This can even potentially trigger a 'Storm Ride'.
