They had known each other for what seemed like forever, meeting at the
Green Heart amidst the chaos of a cooking contest and a wedding, and
quickly becoming friends. At that time Helen was married, and her two
young daughters had apparently decided that Rhys was the newest
babysitter/playmate.
Time passed. By the time they met again the two girls had become
adults, married now with children of their own. Helen had died and been
resurrected, her husband, James, deceased himself. Friendship deepened,
a spark of attraction igniting between the elf and the human woman.
Despite the initial displeasure of her son, their relationship grew
and, on a midsummer night, they became lovers.
