Abilities: Like many Aarataureans, his magical abilities are elemental in nature. Jared is especially skilled in the control of air and the winds which is a family ability. He is a trained swordsman, although he’s never had to use that skill in battle.

Brief History: Jared Windsinger became King of the Aarataure following the death of his grandfather, Ohtar Ancalima. An arrogant, ambitious man with a commanding presence, he intends to drag his people kicking and screaming into the modern world, away from their millennia of traditional reclusiveness. However, this is not an easy task and many of his more conservative Lords are resisting him strongly. Among their number was his own father, Gavin, whose resistance grew to such an extent that he plotted to remove his son from the throne. This led to the assassination of Tressach Aicasse, as well as the attempted assassination of Jared himself. An attempt that was foiled, Gavin being executed before his Goddess in the Temple of Flame, but one whose repercussions are still being felt in the Aarataurean court.
Single since the death of his wife, Aine, in a horse-riding accident, Jared became friends with a fae by the name of Danielle. Fascinated by her, he came to respect her opinions and in time to love her, and yet is aware that their close relationship is frowned upon by many in the court. Despite this attitude, they have since married, Jared’s recent close brush with death making him wish to seize the opportunity to be happy, no matter what his nobles might say.
Other Information:
- Jared’s soul is midnight blue and silver in colour and in its ground state will often appear to be a mist in form. At the heart of this burns a flame that is the core of the individual’s soul.
- Like all Aarataureans, Jared’s native spoken dialect is a musical tongue, not dissimilar in sound to Terran Irish, and this is reflected in his accent when speaking Common or other languages.
